En treinta años, quizás he ido tres veces a un «tablao». En estos días ha aparecido por Madrid una amiga del insti, a quien no había visto desde entonces (ahora vive en Australia). Cuando ella sugirió ir a un espectáculo de flamenco, me pareció buena idea, llamé a Nicole para pedirle alguna sugerencia, y acabamos yendo a Casa Patas (ni por las viejas amigas hubiera ido a una corrida de toros ).
No sé nada de flamenco, pero fue fantástico. ¡Qué poderío y elegancia de la pareja de baile, y qué excelentes músicos acompañándolos! Sé que suena cursi, pero hubo pasión y alma. Total, que espero con ansiedad la próxima visita sorpresa.

In thirty years I must have gone three times to a tablao. So, when a "long-lost" friend (who now lives in Australia) appeared in Madrid and suggested going to see some flamenco, I thought: why not? I asked Nicole for some advice and we went to Casa Patas. I would NOT have gone to a bullfight even for friendships sake.
I don´t know anything about flamenco but it was fantastic. Two elegant, powerful dancers accompanied by some excellent musicians. I know it sounds cliched but the show was performed with passion and intensity.
I am eagerly awaiting another surprise visit!
